The Officer, Global Procurement (GPO) works within the Global Logistics Supply Chain Unit under the senior management of the Global Procurement Unit. The dominant responsibility of the employee will be to provide supply chain support to field teams worldwide.
Main duties include various supply chain aspects, procurement, review and update of various procurement files, logistics data entry processing, monitoring of US export compliance and regular communication with International Medical Corps' field missions staff related to assigned tasks. If and when required, in line with experience level, employee may be assigned to the short assignment at the field mission level or other HQ offices

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Assistance to senior management of Global Procurement Unit with management of supply chain to field operations and ERT teams, as well to various HQ offices, as required
- Supervision and execution of assigned procurement action, both domestic in Croatia and international
- Review of procurement files as per Procurement Manual or when directed to do so by supervisor
- Actively participate and contribute to ERT calls
- Participate on selected country logistics calls, biweekly, monthly or as assigned by supervisor. Regular follow up on pending field team actions related to Supply Chain
- Training/orientation of field staff, Global Procurement staff and other colleagues on specific logistics processes and procedures with emphasis on Procurement procedures, as required
- Assistance with internal audit or monitoring of International Medical Corps' internal supply chain (procurement execution/export/import/ transport/storage/deliveries to distribution points, as applicable)
- Documenting all activities in hard copy (on paper file) and ensuring electronic back up in multiple locations, in line with established procedures. Updating required data bases regularly
- Assistance with various other activities related to supply chain support to International Medical Corps' Field missions
- Generating various updates and reports as required by the supervisor and/or International Medical Corps' senior management
- Readiness to receive on-job-training related to own capacity building that is linked to possibility to assume more responsibilities in the future
- Daily correspondence and follow up with field mission teams and HQ staff on supply chain matters
- Short term field assignments completion (specific task in line with experience level) if, and where required
- Representation of Global Logistics department internally and externally as tasked
